The annual Tiru_Adhyayanotsavam function was celebrated at Bengaluru Mutt from Dec 25, 2020 through Jan 16, 2021. As in the past, it was well participated by bhagavatas by reciting the naalaayira divya prabandham during the 21 days. The highlight of the function was the august presence of our Acharyan HH Srimad Parakala Swamy at the Mutt during this entire period. Though the number of participants this year had been limited by the local COVID19 restrictions in force, there was no lack of enthusiasm among those who participated in the recitals. The utsavam included tadeeyaaradhanais and grand celebrations of Azhvar Moksham and Andal Kalyanam functions.

Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva Sancharam in Texas. Nov 7 – Dec 12, 2020.

Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva arrived in Dallas TX on Nov 7 from Cincinnati, OH for a six- week stay. Several devotees invited PerumAL to their houses for celebrating Tirumanjanams and Dolotsavams. Because of he prevailing pandemic, all functions were restricted to members of the household in each case. However, most of the functions were on Zoom and were participated remotely by a large group of devotees. PerumAL visited Austin during the Thanksgiving week. Again there were several functions at devotee homes. The highlight of the Austin sancharam was the performance of the Hayagriva and Sudarshana homams during weekend for the welfare of the country during the difficult times people are going through. Several devotees sponsored these homams from local as well as far-off areas. PerumAL returned to Dallas during the week after Thanksgiving. There were some more functions celebrated at Dallas during the weekend. PerumAl left by car on Dec 12 and after an overnight stay at Atlantareturned to the Ashram at Charlotte, NC on Dec 13.

Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva Sancharam in the US Midwest. Sept 11 – Nov 6, 2020

The Sancharam of Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva in the Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, OH and Detroit areas which began on September 11, 2020 was completed on November 6, 2020 with a week-long visit to Charlotte during the last week of September for the celebration of Swami Desikan’s Tirunakshatram at the Ashram on September 27. Because of the Pandemic situation, all the functions were restricted to household members only with no outside guests present. In some cases, the functions were streamed so outside devotees would have an opportunity to participate remotely. The functions were nevertheless enjoyed by the hosts. The highlight of the sancharam was a delightful a 5-hour recital session of Swami Desikan’s Padukasahasram held in Cincinnati. Several reciters and other devotees participated remotely on line at this function also. PerumAL traveled from Cincinnati to Dallas, TX on Nov 7, where He will stay till December 12 before returning to Charlotte.
We thank all the participants for their co-operation in making this sancharam safe and still enjoyable. We also thank the bhagavatas who painstakingly drove long distances to transfer PerumAL by car instead of by flight. For Photos from some of the functions, please visit the links below.
