Description of Sri Lakshmi Hayagrivar's Visit to Charlotte NC

October 24 - November 6, 2011

By the divine grace of Azhwars and achAryas, Charlotte Bagavathas were blessed by the dhigVijaya Sancharam of Sri Lakshmi Hayagrivar along with Srimad Ramanujar and Srimad Vedanta Desikar.  
 From Seattle, the Lord and achAryas were escorted by the renowned U.Ve. Sri Varadaraja Bhattar Swamin, who comes from the Illustrious family of serving Sri Alarmel Mangai thayAr @ Thiruchanoor. The Lord, thayAr and acharyas arrived in Charlotte, NC on Monday night - Oct 24, 2011.  The next morning being Naraka Chathurdhasi (Deepavali) very auspicious day for the bagavathas, the Lord Sri Lakshmi Hayagrivar with acharyas had a great Samprokshanam, Sri Hayagriva & Sri Sudarshana Homams and Thirumanjanam, true to the bliss of the enthronged devotees.
 Taking Ganga snAnam on deepavalli is said to be an important ritual. True to the words of Swami Nammazhwar who hails Sri. Hayagriva Himself as the "holy water" to redeem azhwAr from boundless sorrow of samsara, the Lord along with thayAr has come to the rescue of the Charlotte Bagavathas as well.

  Chharlotte children were specifically attracted to the Lord seeking vidya balam from Perumal and thayar. Overall 70 kids received the Akshara abhyAsam at the feet of Perumal & thayAr. The Lord along with HIS parivaram visited 10 Bagavathas home including the ground breaking ceremony  @ Sri Jaganathan's home for the first South Indian Hindu Temple in Charlotte.

 The Charlotte Bagavathas gave a grand farewell and piriyA vidai to Perumal, thayAr and acharyAs @Crestdale Middle School Matthews NC on Nov 5 2011.
